Gerald M. Welt received his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. He has been in practice since 1973. Attorney Welt practices Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability/SSI Law. He has served on the Nevada Justice Association Board of Governors since 1979 as a board member, treasurer, president-elect, president and chief administrative officer. He was the co-chair of Citizens For Justice from 1992-2010. He was a member of the President’s Council of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and has been a moderator and instructor for the People’s Law School in the subjects of Social Security Disability/SSI and Workers’ Compensation. He is very active in the State Bar of Nevada as a member of both the Professionalism and Lawyers’ Referral and Information Services committees. Welt is general legal counsel for the Las Vegas Clark County Library District. He has served as a member of the State of Nevada Medical/Dental Screening panel. He is a member of the court appointed arbitration panel and has acted as arbitrator in multiple cases since 1996. He is a member and past Nevada state chairman of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives (NOSSCR).
