Attorney Overview

Jowita has more than ten years of experience handling consumer and commercial litigation matters, including personal bankruptcy; business and contract disputes; copyright infringement; mortgage foreclosure defense; injury law; and civil appeals.
A classically trained ballet dancer and Boston native, Jowita performed with several companies throughout New England before attending law school. She remains active in the local arts community and is the founder of Florida Lawyers for the Arts, Inc., which provides affordable legal assistance for visual and performing artists as well as writers in the Tampa Bay area, Orlando, and Sarasota.
An avid writer, Jowita’s additional community involvement includes serving as editor of Paraclete, the St. Petersburg Bar Association’s monthly magazine. In law school, Jowita co-founded the Journal of High Technology Law, the school’s first online legal journal.
Jowita is admitted to practice law in Florida, including the federal Middle District of Florida, as well as Massachusetts and New York.
