Her practice currently focuses on the representation of surety bonding companies and other entities and individuals in commercial litigation matters. Ms. Stewart also has extensive insurance coverage experience and similarly extensive experience representing policy holders, including airlines and trucking companies, at the request of the carrier, in a variety of tort actions. Her practice draws not only from her litigation experience, but her extensive experience with bankruptcy matters.

While the home base for Ms. Stewart’s practice has always been the Washington, DC area, she has litigated both federal and state court cases in at least 14 states and has served as national and regional coordinating counsel for insurance clients seeking consistent, high quality representation through central oversight of local counsel.

Ms. Stewart served as Law Clerk to Honorable Ross W. Krumm, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, from 1987 through 1988. She is a 1987 graduate of Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she served as an oral advocacy and writing instructor for first year students and participated on the National Moot Court Team, winning the regional finals. She graduated from Washington College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1984.

Ms. Stewart is a member of the Virginia Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the Maryland Bar.
