Attorney Overview

M. Rita Metts graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1993. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina in 1990. Ms. Metts is a former Assistant Public Defender with the Newberry County Public Defender’s Office. She currently owns and operates the Metts Law Firm, LLC. She is also the Town Attorney for Carlisle and a licensed Instructor for the South Carolina Department of Insurance. She is a Certified Family Court Mediator and member of the South Carolina Bar Association’s Family Law and Workers Compensation sections. She is a member of the National Bar Association and South Carolina Workers Compensation Education Association. She is a former board member of Carolina Boys Home and BGM, Inc.
