Attorney Overview

Phyllis Lile-King practiced law in Washington, D.C. and Virginia before moving to Greensboro. A graduate of Georgetown College (B.A.) and the University of Virginia (J.D.), Phyllis has experience litigating cases involving malpractice, contracts, and personal injuries. In 1998, Phyllis won the largest verdict for a single plaintiff in North Carolina in an employment case: an Equal Pay Act case brought by a woman who was not paid equal wages for doing the same job as her male co-worker. Phyllis has represented dozens of children, as well as families of patients who died as a result of medication overdoses involving methadone, fentanyl and OxyContin. Phyllis has also represented racing teams in NASCAR. In 2004, Phyllis won an $11.8 million dollar judgment for a NASCAR racing team in a contract dispute with a sponsor.
