Tenant Defenders is a San Diego law firm dedicated to assisting consumers and tenants assert and defend their rights. We do not represent debt collectors or landlords.I am a San Diego attorney who specializes in representing tenants facing eviction and also brings lawsuits against abusive landlords and property managers. Our firm also represents consumers against unlawful debt collections.

I have represented tenants in a variety of different cases. I specialize in defending against eviction, or as it is called in California, unlawful detainer. I began my career as an attorney with the Legal Aid Society of San Diego where I had an opportunity to represent tenants in hundreds of cases both at trial and in negotiated settlements.

I created Tenant Defenders in June of 2010 in order to offer a wider array of services.  I still specialize in defense of wrongful evictions, however, since establishing Tenant Defenders, I have also brought numerous lawsuits against landlords and abusive property managers for illegal rental contracts, bed bug infestations, negligent management practices, breach of warranty, breach of contract, breach of warranty, fraud, and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

I welcome the opportunity to speak with tenants facing legal problems, or who are simply fed up dealing with a landlord that refuses to abide by the law.
