Frank Turner areas of expertise are; Asia, Corporate Finance and Securities, Energy (Oil and Gas), Mergers and Acquisitions and Mining. Frank is National Co-Chair of Osler’s Corporate Group and he currently practices from the firm’s Calgary office. Frank’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. He routinely advises companies and other enterprises in the resource, financial services and technology sectors on matters involving acquisitions, dispositions, strategic alliances, governance and corporate finance. Frank has particular expertise advising clients in Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and other parts of the world, including sovereign wealth funds and state-owned enterprises, on acquisitions and investments in Canada. He is one of two of the firm’s partners responsible for building its corporate business in the Middle East and North Africa. Frank has previously worked in the firm’s New York and Toronto offices and has also served on secondment with investment banks in both of those cities. Frank is a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. In 2008-2009, Frank served as Co-Chair of Osler’s Strategic Planning Committee formed for purposes of developing the firm’s business strategy.

David is Co-Chair of Osler’s Mining Group and practises primarily in public and private mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.David is Co-Chair of Osler’s Mining Group and practises primarily in public and private mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. He acts for both public and private international and domestic clients in a wide variety of sectors including mining, energy, cleantech, media, manufacturing and telecommunications. His experience in the corporate finance area includes advising issuers and underwriters on public and private offerings of debt and equity securities, both domestically and cross-border, with an emphasis on offerings in the mining and precious metals sector as well as offerings in the income trust sector. He is also advising project developers, landowners, equipment suppliers, mezzanine financiers, banks, private equity funds and angel investors on the myriad of legal issues around renewable energy developments, specifically in relation to the Ontario Power Authority’s Feed-In Tariff Program.
